Helianthus maximiliani is a tough native perennial sunflower species native to the mid-section of North America, it blooms with tall spires of bright yellow flowers. The foliage is also very ornamental and resistant to browsing deer and rabbits. Grows in any soil including heavy clay. A big tall plant for meadows and planted in front of fences and walls. USDA zones 4-8.
