Black Adder Agastache

Like most Agastaches, ‘Black Adder’ is a low-maintenance, drought-tolerant pollinator magnet. What sets it apart are the large bottlebrush terminal spikes packed with fragrant flowers. Long blooming, its spikey flowers add color, fragrance, and spunky texture to a garden setting. Blue-green foliage adds a lovely anise scent as well. A cross between A. rugosa and A. foeniculum, 'Black Adder' attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and other beneficial insects. Drought and heat-tolerant once established, plant en masse or mix into a perennial bed or rock garden, where it will flower from summer to fall, an excellent choice for late-season color. They make nice cut and dried flowers as well.
