Creeping Goldenaster (Heterotheca)
1-2" tall x 12-15" tall. Heterotheca jonesii (Creeping Goldenaster) is a rare native groundcover that forms a summertime carpet of golden-yellow flowers over a grey-green mat of tiny leaves. Evergreen, it will add interest even in winter. Found in habitat in a limited area of southwestern UT, the plant has proven to be widely adaptable to the western US. This little plant makes a great companion for other taller, drought-resistant native perennials, such as beardtongues and sages.
Flat of 32 plants will cover 32-40 square feet when planted together
