Creeping Rosemary
Rosmarinus officinalis 'Prostratus' (Creeping Rosemary) is a native to the dry, rocky areas along the Mediterranean where it has naturalized throughout much of Europe. Good for sunny, dry areas as it is drought tolerant once established. Low maintenance, its pollinator-friendly flowers and aromatic foliage create a multi-dimensional effect. In areas where ‘Prostratus’ is not cold-hardy (beyond zones 8-11), planting in containers is advised so they can come indoors to the coolest part of the house for the winter. It is also tolerant of salt, so suitable for coastal areas.
