CannaSol™ Happy Julia® Canna Lily
Cannasol™ Happy Julia® Canna Lily heats up summer with sizzling red flowers and elegant dark green and bronze foliage. At 18-22" tall it is a perfect focal point in the garden, or a dramatic edge along a path. Plant en masse (12" spacing) for big bold color all summer long. Perfect for containers too. Plant the bulbs in a sunny to partially shady spot in well-drained soil that can be kept moist. They love high heat and humidity making them an excellent choice for color in the warmest parts of your garden. Once the soil has warmed in the spring, plant the bulb eye-side up and cover with 2" of compost and fertilizer enriched soil. Once growth starts be sure to keep them moist and fertilize regularly through the growing season. Interestingly, the shape of canna’s leaves cause them to collect small amounts of dew and moisture making them sources of early morning water for insects and small birds. Hummingbirds and butterflies love canna lilies, deer avoid them.
